Student Discipleship

Here at Memorial we want to encourage students to grow in their relationship with Christ. For that reason we take discipleship very seriously. In our student Ministries we have two areas of focus in discipleship. Those are as follows: Sunday School discipleship,  and Life groups. With these programs we seek to challenge students in their faith by meeting them where they are and helping them see Christ through Scripture and prayer.

Sunday School - A note from our Senior High Sunday School Teacher (Bob Thomas)
"Please join us in the High School and College Sunday School Class as we study arguments defending Christianity like: "If God is all-powerful and all-good, how can He allow evil and suffering" and biblical themes like: "Four great promises in the Bible." Hope to see you there, bring your friends!"

Life Groups - With both junior high and senior high students we long to see students involved in everyday life with great mentor adults. Here at Memorial, we use the Pact Ministry method of discipleship. You may find more details on Pact Ministry at www.pactministry.org. Our focus in life groups are of four areas:

Prayer
Accountability
Care
Training

If you would like to know more about our Life Groups, or to find out the qualifications for being a mentor, feel free to contact Matt Cumbow at matt@ignitus.org.

The Dirty Dozen:

Our Junior and Senior High Ignitus groups (6th-12th) will begin the fall semester with a fresh new Bible study called "The Dirty Dozen."

Here is a brief overview of this book:

The Dirty Dozen is a 16 week study on the 12 Disciples. Students will look at the lives of each of the Twelve Disciples and discover how Christ used them and their gifts, so that they personally can do the same today.
